Manfeild. The place to seperate the boys from the men. and the women from the boys too I guess.... bu that's not all that hard usually.
Anyway - Road and Track day. A few of the boys were going up to do some sweet laps of town... i mean... laps of the track. So I followed on up in the Cube (no it didn't make it on the track).
Sean and I snapped some photos whilst there for all the punters who couldn't make it.
So much guard work on this Escort.
This S14A was LOW!
All sorts of people fanging it up in what they brung, no matter what it was. From wee FWD NA Starlets, through to standard base spec Misti Lancers (this guy thrashed this like a boss!)
A number of fast Mitsi Evo's were about too.
Rumour has it, that the above Datsun coupe was running a mid mounted rotary engine...? I didn't spy it myself, but it sure did sound pretty mental.
The above Laser (?) went hard for what it was.
This Porsche sounded feral at near full tilt down the front straight. Word is that the driver never managed to put his foot flat in it... Scary shit.
Andrew and his Civic went hard all day. Andrew was cranking out 1.25 laps. (That's quick)
Andrew put the pass on this R33 at pace! Skyline had no chance. Needless to say, we all went bananas in the pit lane watching him pass it with ease.
My favourite Civic shape ever!
Yemo had a good first round in the 180sx.
Ignition trouble saw him running on three for his second heat, and he threw in the towel early.
Bottoms were fondled in the making of this article.
This Corolla was KILLING IT out there. Iain, here's some inspiration!
Now.. Here is my favourite car of the whole day.
Nissan N15 Pulsar VZR. Engine is an SR16VE + T. Making over 200kw at the front wheels. Had a chat with the owner (a bloody good bastard) and he says it fries up the front tyres round every corner, so there's certainly a knack to driving it.
As we left, We spotted a few sweet cars sitting in the carpark. I requested Sean take a photo.
GT Corolla Sedan. Rare as rocking horse shit, and looked LEGIT on these wheels.
Look at those wheels. DAYUM
That's all for now. Looking forward to the next one.
